Sailing Sundays

Sailing Day Structure

9.00 am - Duty family arrives to open up and prepare canteen, rescue boat to be organised and taken down to the beach, incl radio, buoys etc, and organise activity for the day.

9.45am - Pay $5.00 to Val in the Club Room
 - SIGN IN all children and adults who are going to sail
 - All boats to be put out on the grass ready for rigging

10.00 am - Briefing: discussion of what’s happening for the day.
 - Allocate boats to families for the day

10.15 am - Rig boats with your family members, and carry down to the beach.  Wait by the boat for further instruction.

10.30 am - Sailing Activity begins

12.30 pm - De-brief in Club Room.  Clean up your allocated boat if it is not being used for the afternoon sailing session. Please encourage the children to be apart of this process, it’s all part of going sailing.

SIGN OUT for those not sailing in the afternoon.

12.40 pm - LUNCH

1.00 pm - Race Briefing in Club Room – Discuss wind direction and Set Course

1.30 pm - Race Starts
